George Hudson enlisted on June 15, 1863, at Rolla, Missouri, and was mustered into Company H, 11th Missouri Cavalry on July 14, 1863, at St. Louis, Missouri. Promoted to sergeant, he deserted on August 12, 1863, from Benton Barracks; he was never apprehended.
