Reed, David

David Reed enlisted on August 15, 1862, and was mustered into Company B, 12th Kansas Infantry on September 25, 1862, at Paola, Kansas. The 12th Kansas Infantry fought at Newtonia, Cane Hill, and Prairie Grove, participated in the capture of Fort Smith, then performed garrison duty at Fort Smith and Little Rock.

Reed mustered out with the regiment on June 30, 1865. He died near Dennis, Kansas, on August 14, 1918.
