Faes, Adolph

Adolph Faes, a native of Aargau, Switzerland, enlisted in Company B, 15th Missouri Infantry on July 16, 1861 in St. Louis. Promoted to corporal and sergeant in 1863, he was wounded at Kennesaw Mountain in 1864.

The 15th Missouri Infantry saw considerable action during the war, including the battles of Pea Ridge, Perryville, Stones River, Chickamauga, Missionary Ridge, Kennesaw Mountain, Spring Hill, Franklin, and Nashville.

The regiment mustered out of service on December 25, 1865, in Victoria, Texas.
